The Financial Times has graciously invited me to contribute to their Digital Business podcast. My first commentary, included in the new installment of the podcast, looks at whether Web 2.0 tools like wikis will help automate the management of knowledge in companies. Also featured in the podcast is a debate on whether IT matters strategically. You can listen here.
Nick…. maybe it’s because of the Holiday, but the Financial Times page is not fully loading and revelaing the your Podcast. Perhaps tomorrow.
FT’s podcast page doesn’t have permalinks or links for direct download; here’s the link for the interview:

Yes, the Financial Times page is not fully loading. Thanks for the link.
Haven’t yet listened to this FT podcast yet but Scoble recently had a great video on this same idea, using wikis in the enterprise space for both content and knowledge management systems.
Key takeaways: Social bookmarking, rather than wikis, will be the enterprise platform (or Web2.0 tool) of choice for two reasons:
1) It’s the simplest to use; people now how to bookmark, the idea is so familiar to users already. Getting staff to use CMS or KM systems has traditionally been one of the biggest stumbling blocks to KM adoption.
2) Social bookmarking is at the higher level because blogs & wikis are essentially web pages that can be bookmarked; most tools/applications now are via a web browser so this content can be bookmarked.
On another note, miss your voice on the Gillmor Gang. Keep up the good commentary, thanks.
